We went to go watch Justin Timberlake's new film tonight- 'In Time'. If you ever get a chance to go see it, it really makes you think. I mean, once you get past the protagonist being JT (although giving him credit, he's actually decent in this film..) but the whole plot and the meaning behind the plot; its fascinating! A small synopsis is basically- genetic alteration has allowed humanity to stop ageing at 25, but people are required to earn more time or will die within a year. The 'Living time' is displayed on people's lower arm, it has replaced money and can be transferred between each person. For example, a coffee costs 4 minutes, a bus fare costs 2 hours and a car 65 years. However, when the clock reaches zero, the person will instantly die. Will Salas (JT) lives in the ghetto with his 50 year-old mother, and lives for each day- not thinking about tomorrow. Of course at the end there is happiness for all, and the protagonists save the human race and its all very good. But really, it made me really think. We waste so much time just thinking about time- do we forget to live our lives too?
The clock's ticking.. -x
